System Tweaks

*For Internet

1. Go to desktop->
My computer-(right click on)->properties->then go HARDWARE tab->Device manager->
Now u see a window of Device manager thengo to Ports->Communication Port(double click on it and Open).
After open u can see a Communication Port properties.
Go the Port Setting:----and now increase ur "Bits per second" to 128000 and "Flow control" change to Hardware.

NOTE:
for those who cant find their ports do this go to modem settings then set the settings of the port connected to the maximum settings.
2. click START > RUN > type nyo gpedit.msc
go to local computer policy > administrative templates > network > QOS PACKET SCHEDULER > double click LIMIT RESERVABLE BANDWIDTH (view the image provided), it will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab
click enable then set the value of bandwidth to "0" ZERO.
NOTE: there's no gpedit.msc on windows xp home edition so for those who cant find it Click Here
3. click START > RUN > type nyo gpedit.msc
go to local computer policy > administrative templates > network > QOS PACKET SCHEDULER > background intelligent transfer service > double click MAXIMUM NETWORK BANDWIDTH THAT BITS USES (BITS - Binary Intelligent Transfer Service, BITS uses HTTP. BITS downloads files using the standard Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and requires Internet Information Server (IIS) to be running on the server that serves the files. HTTP packets pass more easily through firewalls, which makes BITS a good choice for getting files from the Internet.)
click enable > change the two Limit BITS transfer rate to "0" > then change the time or the option "From and To" to 12 a.m. > then click on Use all Available Unused Bandwidth > click Apply then click Ok


* For Speeding Up your computer

1. Move your paging file

1.1 Open the Control Panel and select the System applet or go to My Computer>right click and select Properties
1.2 On the Advanced tab, select Settings on the Performance gorup
1.3 On the Performance Options dialog box, click Change, which is under the Virtual Memory group
1.4 Click on the hard disk that currently contains the pagefile (siguradong drive C: yun) (1.) then click No paging file (2.), then click Set
1.5 Click on the drive that you want to contain the pagefile (bukod sa drive C: ha) (1.), then click Custom size (2.) and enter the same value as shown in the Recommended field or Kung 1GB ang RAM mo - set to 500 MB, Kung 512MB ang RAM mo - set to 700 MB, Kung 256MB ang RAM mo - set to 1000 MB, Kung 128MB ang RAM mo - set to 1500 MB , finally, click Set then OK

2. Improve Processing Speed

Click Start > Run > Type: msconfig > Click Ok, Click SYSTEM.INI > Click [386enh] > Click new > type: RUNConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 > Click apply > Click Ok > Restart your computer

3. Go to start > control panel > add/remove programs > then sa left side nung window click add/remove windows components > lalabas ang windows components wizard, uncheck all the components you want to remove, then click next, yung mga hindi nakacheck ay tatanggalin to gain space and even make your computer perform better, depende na sa inyo kung ano ang gusto ninyong tanggalin.

4. Go to start > Run > type in msconfig > lalabas yung system configuration utility > go to sevices tab , uncheck all the services you think you don't need, mostly inauncheck ko yung mga services na ang manufacturer ay unknown, > go to startup tab then uncheck all unnecessary startup programs (this helps your computer load faster on startup), > go to BOOT.INI tab, dun sa timeout option nakalagay 30 sec. diba, gawin nyong 3 , (this will make your computer boot faster)
